Here at the MainLAN we love online gaming. One of my personal favorites is Online Racing. I am a member of TNTRL which is a great Online Racing Leauge. Our website is http://www.tntrl.com/ There are several of us in the league that now own the Thomas Super-Wheel to drive our Nextel Cup Cars in competition. Due to this I have decided to post some of the pictures that Big Dog submitted. He and Granpawl have owned their TSW2 wheels for some time and have made some nice modifications to them. One thing is that they both have recently installed the new USB Evolution circuit board. This new board comes standard on the new wheels purchased. Mine has it already. This makes it easier to program things and controls the wheel even more precisely then it was before. I have to say that with all the PC Racing wheels I have had over the years, the TSW2 is by far the best I have owned. I shouldn't have to buy any others. Here is a link to Thomas Super-Wheel: http://www.thomas-superwheel.com/ I am about to install some buttons to my wheel. They can be purchased at Radio Shack. Once I begin this installation I will post some details for you all to read along with some pictures. There is also a program that you will need to program these buttons for your Function Keys as well as the default text. One program that comes recommended by TSW2 is "Joy To Key". It can be downloaded here: http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm There is one other program you can use but it doesn't seem as easy to use. It is called RB Joy and can be downloaded here: http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Games/Gaming_Utilities/RB_Joy.html Now on to the pictures from Big Dog. Thanks again to him for submitting these views.
Front of the 10" Wheel showing the buttons and custom paddle shift lever. Note the different size buttons.
Back side of the same wheel showing the unique wiring. Note the use of a PS2 Keyboard cable. This allows for quick disconnection to remove the wheel as well as more wires within one clean cable.
This is the foam rubber ball used to add progressive resistance to the brake pressure. This gives a more realistic feel. The harder you press the more resistance you feel.
Here you can see that Big Dog moved the brake pedal over to the clutch slot. This is to give more foot room. Carpet padding was added for heel comfort. You can also see that larger pedal pads were added.
This view shows the wheel hub. You can see the connector blocks for the switches. Switches are easily connected. I will be mounting my switches into the black cover but you can see how clean this type of cable can be. Keep in mind that whatever cable you use it must have a connector so that you can remove the wheel anytime with ease.
Big Dog has many buttons which is an option all users of the TSW wheel can have. Buttons mounted in this manner can add a huge advantage. Keeping your eyes on the track during a race is essential.
